Terrorism Prevention

The terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001 brought home the reality that America is ghastly unprepared for terrorist threats. Even now the Department of Homeland Security and other government entities champion a primarily reactive "strategy." However, a reactive strategy can only react and respond to a terrorist attack after it occurs; little emphasis has been given to prevention strategies.

International Horizons Unlimited believes that prevention strategies are the most critical and effective elements for success against terrorism and that the use of information, computers, and software are the mfcost important weapons in fighting terrorism.

International Horizons Unlimited with Accountability Initiatives, LLC have developed a computer-based system that employs horizontal data integration technologies for tracking, managing, sharing, and retrieving information; effective communication; and education called Cybershield. The goal of the Cybershield program is to establish a coordinated, cooperative, central information repository capable of integrating data in real-time to support effective planning, prevention, and interventions. The program is designed specifically for State, Regional, and Local Governments, agencies, and entities at all levels, and the private sector.
